  • We all know the principle of least privilege, but… how easy is it to apply in the cloud? In this talk, we will explain what IAM policy evaluation logic is and how it works. We will go through several cases that demonstrate how complex it can be to create a secure IAM policy and what the consequences might be. We will start with a simple example using S3, avoiding unintended public access. Then we will look at SQS, and how configuring a policy through the UI can backfire. Finally, we will wrap up with an example of integration with GitHub Actions.

  • Imagine a support team where Jira tickets are sometimes incomplete, ambiguous, or unnecessarily complicated, and valuable time is lost as a result. Now imagine an artificial intelligence that can “read,” interpret, and validate these tickets on its own, before a human even touches them. In our presentation, we’ll share how we taught Athene AI to understand Jira tickets through MCP-based integration. We’ll show how we built a Jira MCP server and designed a smart workflow that not only filters out incomplete or faulty tickets but also automates previously time-consuming manual checks. The result? Faster processing, fewer errors, and a happier support team – all powered by Athene AI.

  • The BDA (Bedrock Data Automation) workshop is an overall session that covers all media types - document, image, video, and audio - from a multimodal extraction perspective, showcasing how you can leverage BDA to extract data at scale. You'll create a working server, deploy it to the cloud, and test it with Claude.ai to see how it improves user interactions. Participants will learn about cost management to track budgets, Amazon Q for service queries, Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring performance, the AWS Health Dashboard for infrastructure oversight, and AWS CloudShell for command-line tasks. Designed for managing temporary AWS environments like sandbox lab accounts, this session shows how to monitor and maintain cloud resources.
